About
She has done her post graduation in Life Science (Botany) with specialisation in Microbial Ecology from Assam University and has worked in DBT project in tissue culture of Orchids at NEHU. She has qualified SLET exam in 2007. She has also done Masters in Business Administration from Gauhati University. She has done her Ph.D from Gauhati University in Agricultural management and worked as research associate in ICSSR project at Gauhati University. She is working as assistant professor at Cotton University since 2015 and is teaching microbiology and plant diversity in undergraduate and post graduate courses. Her research interest includes microbiology, moicrobial biochemistry and metagenomics.
Teaching
She teaches Microbiology , Mycology , Biostatistics and Skill Enhancing Courses on Nursery management and biofertilizers.

Ongoing inhouse project "Molecular Characterisation of microcosm of Paddy fields of Kamrup Rural for analysing their role in soil health and global warming due to methane emission" funded by Cotton University .
