About

I completed my matriculation from Don Bosco School, Diphu, and my Higher Secondary education from Pine Mount School, Shillong, Meghalaya. I earned my B.Sc. in Botany from Cotton College and my M.Sc. in Botany from Gauhati University. I was awarded the Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship in 2012–13 and subsequently completed my Ph.D. at Assam University, Silchar.

My research and academic interests focus on the biodiversity, traditional knowledge, and plant resources of Northeast India. In 2018, my work presented in the form of poster was recognised as one of the best at an international conference organised by Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat. Since 2015, I have been associated with the Centre for Karbi Studies (CKS), a research organisation dedicated to documenting and promoting the knowledge and cultural heritage of the Karbi community in Karbi Anglong, Assam.

Teaching

Currently teaching Taxonomy and General Botany in H.S (class XI, XII), Undergraduate and Post-graduate courses in Botany.
